TELESCOPING LEG ASSEMBLIES These leg
assemblies can be used anywhere you have tough to adjust blind uprights -
typically under a dock. Adjustments are
easily made with one turn of a 9/16” open end wrench. Standard height ranges are 18”-36”; 36”-54”;
and 54”-72”. Assembly includes cast
telescopic bracket and 2” O.D upper tube, 2.3” O.D. lower tube and special
bottom plate. These telescoping legs may
be used in combination with Alumi-Span’s unique Under Dock Leg Mount Kit so
that uprights can be hidden under the dock either for esthetic or practical
reasons.
|
|
UNDER DOCK LEG MOUNT KIT Special #350
Stringer Brackets mount inside of the stringers and allow uprights to mount
directly under them for a “pole-less” look.
Using special size cross-arms, one or both uprights per standard
assembly can be hidden. We highly
recommend our Telescoping Leg Assemblies be used with this mount kit to
facilitate easy adjustment.

ANGLED TURNS Alumi-Span’s
capability to customize a dock includes angled turns and “Y” configurations as
shown in the photos below. We can also
modify the first section allowing you to build the dock at an angle to the
seawall.
|
|
SEAWALL BRACKETS Our heavy
duty brackets are made of aluminum channel.
They easily bolt flush to the top of most seawall designs unless they
are made of slanted concrete (see “L” brackets). The end of any 4” high dock section fits
right inside this channel and is secured simply by dropping a bolt into a 3/8”
hole drilled in the top of each corner.
|
|
“L” BRACKETS These handy,
strong 2” X 2” aluminum brackets have many uses. Many dock first sections are set on top of a
sea wall or a board imbedded on the shore.
These brackets allow you to bolt the first section to these surfaces
precisely locating the position and direction of the entire dock. This is an important consideration if you
want to reduce installation times. On
slanted concrete seawalls, these brackets can be bolted to the seawall at an
angle and then bolted to the stringer on each side of the deck using the
existing 17/32” holes or by drilling a new one where needed. In order to have the first section flush with
the top of the wall, we can angle the stringers for a nice neat fit.
